SMS terms
Last updated October 27, 2026
Here's how texting works with MemorialBooked, whether a message comes from us or from a funeral home that runs our software, along with how to sign up and how to stop. Our privacy policy and terms of service apply alongside it.
The texts this page covers
From MemorialBooked. We send texts to people who agreed to them while asking about our plan or arranging a call with us. Those messages can confirm your call, remind you as it gets close, answer what you've asked, or follow up on what we do for funeral homes.
From a funeral home. Families may also get texts from a funeral home that runs on our software. These come from the home and can include arrangement meeting confirmations and reminders, a reply after a call the home couldn't pick up, a request to review the home, and check-ins in the weeks that follow. What the texts say and when they go out is up to the home; the software behind them is ours.
How you opt in
Our texts. Two steps opt you in: we get your mobile number (from a site form, when you schedule a call, or in conversation), and you say texting is fine. If you send us a text first, our reply will be about what you asked.
A funeral home's texts. The home has to collect your consent itself, which might happen as you make arrangements, complete one of its forms, or call or text it. As a condition of using our software, a home commits to texting nobody without legally valid consent.
Any mobile number you share should be yours, or one you're authorized to use; sharing it confirms that.
Buying never depends on texts. You can purchase from MemorialBooked without opting in, and no funeral home on our software may make marketing-text consent a requirement for its services or for a sale.
How many texts
The number of texts you receive varies. It depends on your meetings and services, what you've discussed with us or with the home, and any follow-ups you've signed up for.
Cost
Msg & data rates may apply. Your mobile plan's usual rates cover texts going in both directions. Receiving these texts costs you nothing from us.
Opting out
To stop texts from a sender, reply STOP to any of its messages. UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, CANCEL and END do the same, and so does telling the sender another reasonable way, like a call or an email. A confirmation text follows, and that sender stays quiet from then on unless you opt back in.
Opt-outs work sender by sender. A STOP sent to one funeral home won't end texts from other homes or from us, and a STOP sent to us won't end the home's texts. Reply START if you'd like texts again.
Help
Need help? Reply HELP to a message from us or the home, or write to sales@memorialbooked.com. If your question is about a funeral home's texts, the home can answer it directly too.
Late or missing texts
Mobile carriers bear no liability for messages that arrive late or never arrive. A text can be held up or lost for reasons beyond our reach, like weak signal, your handset or your carrier.
Your number and your privacy
Our privacy policy explains what happens to your number and your consent once you share them. Mobile numbers and texting consent are never passed to third parties for them to market with.
Each funeral home has its own privacy notice, and it applies to that home's texts as well.
Updates
These SMS terms may be revised now and then, and when they are, the date above changes.
